OFR POLICIES

All classes are approved for initial and recertification CADC credit.  For initial and recertification certification credit, multi-part courses must be completed in sequence, but non-scholarship students can elect to take classes at multiple sites, if desired.

Collection of Registration Fees
Pre-registration is not r
equired and walk-ins are welcomed. Pre-registration is required when paying for the entire 270-course hour program or by domain along with a completed registration form. All other payments can be made on site by cash, check or money order.

Returned Check Charge
All returned checks will be assessed a $30.00 processing fee in addition to the original registration fees and credit for that class attendance will be rescinded until the matter is resolved.

Attendance
Students must attend all parts of a multiple-part course in order to receive credit for attendance.  No partial-credit can be given. . Students must sign the attendance record upon their arrival at class and prior to their departure from class. This is the official record of attendance that is sent to the Certification Board. A student who fails to sign in or out of class will not receive credit for the class.

Make-Up Classes
Students who prepay for classes and miss the cancellation deadline will be allowed to make up 3 classes at a special rate of $35.00 each. The fee for all additional makeup classes will be at regular rate of $50.00

Cancellation Policy
Organization for Recovery reserves the right to cancel classes if there are not enough people registered or due to inclement weather. If Organization for Recovery cancels a class, registrants who have paid will be given full refunds, credit towards the rescheduled canceled class or a future class. Organization for Recovery will not be responsible for any out of pocket expenses directly or indirectly sustained by the registrant.

Class cancellations will be recorded on the answering machine (908/769-5930) by 12:00 PM for weeknight classes or by 6:00 AM for weekday or Saturday classes.  Students should leave their name and telephone number on the answering machine so that re-scheduling information can be provided or visit the website for updated information. You may also call OFR directly at 908.769.4700 for further instructions. If a class in a multiple-part course is cancelled , students should continue to attend the remainder of the course and the missed-class will be rescheduled. If no message is left then it is safe to assume that the class is still meeting as advertised.

No Show Policy
If you have registered and prepaid for classes and do not attend, registrants are liable for the full registration fee and unless a written cancellation notice is received 7 working days prior to the date of the actual class. There will be no refunds issued for cancellations received in less than 7 days. Please contact OFR CPDD at 908-769-4700 ext 20 or via email at education@organizationforrecovery.org if you are unable to attend within the designated time allotted.

Holidays
In developing the training calendar OFR has endeavored to accommodate as many of the major secular and religious holidays as possible.  We realize that occasionally our schedule will conflict with personal calendars.  Students with scheduling conflicts, or who celebrate holidays that are not recognized in our calendar, should review the other site schedules for alternative class meeting dates.  We apologize in advance for any inconveniences  arising from scheduling conflicts.

Transcripts
OFR does not issue individual certificates of attendance for each course.  OFR reports attendance at CADC and CCS training programs directly to APCBNJ.  When submitting application packages to APCBNJ, original transcripts must be included.  Students who wish to retain copies of their attendance for their own records may request a transcript of their class attendance by writing or faxing a request directly to OFR.  Transcript Request Forms can be obtained from the website or from Site Coordinators.  Students may request up to two transcripts per year at no cost.  Each additional transcript will cost $10.00 and must be submitted along with the request form. The accuracy of the transcript is the responsibility of the student and not OFR, therefore it is important that you keep good records of each class and the location attended.

Disclaimer: Organization for Recovery reserves the right to edit, or delete these policies at will and without prior notification. It is suggested that you periodically review the policies for any updated information.
