At Organization For Recovery, Inc., we attempt to help all patients as soon as possible. We try to admit new patients on the very next physical/medical admission day and generally do not maintain a waiting list. Although appointments are preferred, we will attempt to process all walk-ins.

Upon arrival at Organization For Recovery, Inc., you will be asked to present a valid form of picture identification showing your name and age. You must be at least 18 years of age to be admitted for methadone treatment. If possible, also bring with you proof of family/household annual income. Individuals who can show that they have a lower income level may qualify for a reduced weekly fee. Proof of family / household income may include pay stubs, W-2s, income tax returns, unemployment stubs, and welfare stubs.

An initial admission fee of $80.00 is required at admission for non-medicaid patients. This fee will cover the cost of the your admission physical, laboratory testing, medication and counseling for the first week. Patients who can present a current Medicaid card or verification of active enrollment in the Medicaid program are not required to pay an admission fee. For further information, see our web page on Treatment Fees.

Next, all new patients will be asked to provide a monitored urine specimen at the facility which must be positive for opiates. We will quickly test this specimen at our facility. After leaving a urine specimen, you will meet with one of our intake counselors for an initial interview.

Following the intake interview, it will be necessary for you to receive an admission physical from our program physician. If it is a Wednesday or Friday the physical will occur immediately after the interview and then you will be medicated. An admission physical is required before receiving any medication. Some new patients like to come in on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday to get the initial interview and any other paperwork completed. They can then return on Wednesday or Friday for just the medical portion of the admission process and medication.

To be eligible for methadone maintenance, a patient must have been physiologically addicted to heroin or other opiates for at least one year and be currently physiologically addicted to heroin or other opiates. To be eligible for methadone detoxification, a patient must be currently physiologically addicted to heroin or other opiates. Together, you and the physician will develop a treatment plan which best meets your needs.

If methadone treatment is not the appropriate form of treatment for you, we will refer you to an appropriate service provider. Please note that drug free counseling is also available at our facility.

Returning patients must meet all original admission criteria as set forth above. All patients are expected to settle any outstanding bills they may have prior to readmission. Organization For Recovery, Inc., reserves the right to deny readmission to an individual, who, during past treatment episodes at the facility, has demonstrated an unwillingness or inability to abide by the policies of this program or has given evidence of treatment needs that are outside the scope of the services we provide.

We look forward to your success at Organization For Recovery, Inc.
